Vitamin
K2 with D3

Vitamin K is a family of similarly structured
molecules. there are a total of 3 different vitamin K molecules.
Vitamin K2, menaquinones, are produced naturally by bacteria
unlike its more popular cousin, vitamin K1, which is found
in greater concentrations in green leafy vegetables.
While produced in small quantities in the intestine,
studies are indicating our bacteria levels in the intestine
are often compromised from poor diet, antibiotics and fungal
overgrowth. Studies also indicate Vitamin K2 works with Vitamin
D to assist the bone to utilize Calcium more effectively and
decrease the deposit of Calcium in the arterial plaque and
wall.
Low levels of Vitamin D have been shown to contribute
to cardiovascular disease, some types of cancer and suppresed
immune response. The RDA recommendation for Daily intake of
Vitamin D has been increased as a result of chronic low blood
levels in much of the population. Vitamin D3 is the most availalble
form of Vitamin D for the body.
