Prerequisite: Completion of Introduction to Massage Cupping for Deep Tissue and Lymphatic Drainage class. In order for your completion of the Level 1 class to be confirmed you must complete the form on this page, and have received a reply from Michelle that she has a record of your attendance in any of her Introduction classes within the past 5 years.

What you will learn:

  • The basics of the lymph system, swelling and edema,
  • Using glass cups with bulb suction to reduce swelling
  • The basics of the fascial system and how to manipulate it
  • Using silicone cups to create fascial release and release of micro-adhesions
  • The basics of wound healing and inflammation
  • Using cups to speed the healing process
  • Discussion of scar formation and scar revision
  • Using cups for scar revision work
  • Creating a treatment protocol for given scenarios
  • Implementing the techniques into practice.

Class Description

This 2 day seminar will build on the knowledge and skills used during the introduction and will focus on how massage cupping can help alleviate pain, decrease swelling, increase range of motion, enhance lymphatic clearing and speed up the healing process. The class will explore the use of various types of cups and appropriate applications, as well as more advanced use of the cups to create soft tissue and nervous system changes that support healing, decreased pain and relaxation.  Participants will leave the seminar armed with a useful technique and an understanding of  the various tools and their applications.
